Head of DevOps

Introduction

Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Head of DevOps who will join their team in a management/lead role. The ideal candidates will be flexible, enthusiastic, and innovative with a very strong technical background in customer facing cloud platforms with at least 3 years of team leading experience. Our client is seeking a leaders that can think strategically and architecturally. You must be able to articulate long-term technical vision and understand the big picture.

responsibilities

  • Lead and manage team of skilled DevOps supporting global online gaming platform.

  • Achieve/exceed agreed SLAs for supported platform.

  • Provide 24x7x365 support.

  • Implement continuous improvement culture with automation and self-service solutions.

  • Interact, support and share best practice with sister teams in Europe.

  • Collaborate with key technical stakeholders.

  • Play key role in designing and building global platform based on modern cloud technology.

  • Act as owner of key infrastructural projects.

  • Stay current with latest technology trends.

requirements

  • Knowledge of managing a datacenter and cloud operations (monitoring, capacity planning and performance tuning).

  • Deep technical background with hands-on experience in technologies including:

    • Public and private cloud environments.

    • Windows server, AD.

    • Server, Network and Storage hardware deployments.

    • MySQL & MSSQL DB.

    • Networking hardware and concepts.

    • Automation solutions.

    • Linux (nice to have).

    • Docker and Jenkins (nice to have).

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills (Hardware, Cloud, OS).

  • Strong leadership and motivation skills.

  • Experience working in agile environment.

  • Problem solver and a leader mentality.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Self-starter, quick learner and team player.
