Introduction

Our client is interviewing immediately for a position in the commercial property management team.  Our client is a rapidly growing, full-service management, development, and consulting organization.  Our client works to enrich the lives of their tenants and employees, while delivering their services efficiently and with the highest levels of professionalism, compassion, integrity and respect.  Our client is a unique management company in that they are the owners as well as the managers of the assets, there is no 3rdparty asset management necessitating coordination with other owners.  Our cleints offices are conveniently located in the SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco, very close to BART and other forms of public transportation. 

responsibilities

This list is a rough sketch of a few things you will commonly encounter in the day-to-day of this position: 

  • Negotiation of new leases and lease renewals with management of all associated admin

  • Monitoring of rent payments and enforcement of collections

  • Preparing regular reports on financial status, maintenance issues, NNN expenses, and other appropriate metrics

  • Maintain superb relationships with contractors, facility managers, tenants, and related government agencies

  • Manage marketing and leasing agents in a variety of submarkets

  • Recruit, schedule, and manage subcontractors for maintenance issues

  • Management of all NNN/CAM procedures from monthly billing/collections to annual reconciliations

  • Travel an average of once per week to properties in the Bay Area

  • Interface with and support our development division with mixed use projects


requirements

  • Problem Solving: candidate must be prepared to think on their feet, adapt and find solutions to problems as they arise.

  • Multitasking: Capacity to prioritize multiple competing priorities to reliably deliver results with minimal supervision

  • Polished Communication: both verbal and written communication must adhere to the highest standards of professionalism

  • Technical Skills: fluency with Excel, Word, and property management software is an absolute necessity; familiarity with general construction, carpentry, plumbing, roofing, electrical systems and networking are all desirable

  • Experience: The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years or more of applicable property management or related experience

  • Education: The ideal candidate will posses a bachelor’s degree or higher
