responsibilities
The Technical Project Manager will be working as part of the Infrastructure Risk Management team, within Information Services. The Infrastructure Risk Management team leads the IS initiative to identify, preempt, mitigate and monitor all technology risk factors for IS Infrastructure.
The team is looking for an experienced, implementation focused, self-motivated Technical Project Manager to drive one or more key technology projects to completion. Projects in scope for management will involve industry leading products and technologies in Information management and Information Security will have technical project teams, company-wide stakeholders, and project budgets.
Summary:
This position reports directly to the Manager of Infrastructure Risk Management, within Information Services, and where applicable will also have responsibilities to the company PMO for implementing the established project management process and reporting.
The Infrastructure Risk Management team has a central and key role in working with IS, Information Security, Internal Audit, Business Stakeholders, and Regulatory Bodies to ensure the company IS Infrastructure risk is managed for regulatory compliance, compliance to company standards and policies. The IS scope includes datacenter infrastructure, core banking systems, branch offices, and corporate office systems.
The Technical Project Manager role has the key responsibility of implementing approved technology initiatives within a complex technical and operational environment.
Initiatives for upcoming implementation involve technologies including the following:
Network Access Control (NAC)
Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)
Unauthorized software detection and removal (both server and desktop platform scope)
Responsibilities:
Lead project teams to implement technical projects to specification, on time, and within budget.
Work with project steering committees to govern projects in accordance with company policies, escalate, and resolve project issues and risks as they arise.
Engage with Infrastructure Risk Manager, and Business Analysts, during the requirements definition process to assist with future project scoping and budgeting as required.
Engage with Infrastructure Risk Manager, and Business Analysts, if project scope and requirements change during active project implementation, to ensure risk and policy compliance objectives are met.
Liaise with the company central PMO and govern projects in accordance with the company methods, including creation of the prescribed standard project documentation and reporting.
Develop and execute effective communication plans, within all available media contexts, including in-person verbal, and written communication.
Liaise with vendors during all stages of commissioning of works, including the preparation of request for bid, bid evaluation, vendor selection, and subsequent management of vendor deliverables during project implementation.
Develop detailed project plans, where required.
Manage project implementation via the most appropriate methodology, including Waterfall, Agile, and possibly multiple methodologies as required.
